Offering a full range of control and instrumentation deliverables, we can assist our clients in the generation of documentation to work with their in-house engineering teams.

Independent Design Review

Whether it be at the concept, FEED or detailed design stage of a project our team offer an independent, impartial and unbiased design review service for all control and instrumentation packages. Reviewing a project from afar can often highlight areas of concern overlooked by the project team. A small investment here can save costly rework once the projects move into the construction and commissioning phases.

Independent Witness Testing of Vendor Systems

Factory acceptance tests are often the last chance to ensure full compliance against specification and also the final opportunity to carry out any corrective action without significant cost implications. Experience has proven that many independent inspectorates do not have experienced C&I engineers familiar with client specifications. C&I Engineering Solutions are available to attend FAT’s on behalf of or alongside our clients. Prior to the FAT’s we ensure our representatives are fully briefed on the project specifications and applicable client standards. On completion of the FAT, a formal report will be submitted to the client detailing findings and also the performance of subcontractors and vendors.

3rd Party Vendor Management

Management of vendors can be a time consuming part of any project. Let us take on the client role and ensure compliance through every aspect of the sub-contract. Our team of experienced engineers are on hand to agree schedules, review documentation, answer technical queries and most importantly expedite against an agreed plan.

Site Standards Review & Development

Extended life and new ownership of assets can often lead to existing site documentation becoming obsolete and inaccurate. C&I Engineering Solutions work with our clients engineering and construction teams to ensure site standards and procedures are up to date and most importantly controlled. An accurate controlled suite of site standards ensures streamlined engineering of all client subcontractors and results in significant cost savings.

Alarm Management & Rationalisation

C&I Engineering Solutions offer independent Facilitators and Scribes for the provision of full Alarm Management and Rationalisation services inline with EEMUA191. Services include development of an Alarm Philosophy , initial ‘bad actor’ reviews through to full asset rationalisation and production of an Alarm Response Manual.

Functional Safety

C&I Engineering Solutions can provide independent Facilitators and Scribes to offer a full range of Functional Safety services including SIL Determination per the requirements of IEC61508/61511/ISA84.00.01-2004, development of a Safety Requirements Specification, and SIL Verification to provide an independent probabilistic safety and reliability analysis of each safety function. Additionally, we can undertake Functional Safety Assessments (FSA) to demonstrate that the Safety Instrumented System will achieve the risk reduction that is required from it.
